My FIRST place D.A.R.E. Essay

After My D.A.R.E. Graduation we had a contest on our D.A.R.E. Essays.I Won FIRST place on my essay,and here it is.

My prize was a 3 day canoe trip down the Colorado River,a CD player,a camera,2 gold metals,and a few other things.

There are many reasons why I choose to be drug free.First of all,if I take drugs,I would end up at the end of the line.I would have no job,I would have to steal for money,and end up in gangs.When I enter the workforce,I want to live in a decent house,and have the one car that i've always wanted.I have heard of many storys of how drug abusers end up in the street,and live under bridges.that is not how I would like to live.Most people are curious of what drugs are like.I will never try them.Once you try a drug,your brain takes on a sudden need for these harmfull poisens,and I will never let a drug controll me,I will controll the drug.If it were not for drugs,I would'nt have to spend my life without a mom.Her desire for drugs made her forget about the love she had for her own child.
